Congratulations to Petrotekno on the opening of an additional facility in Sekaya, South Sumatra.

ECITB Global was delighted to attend the opening celebrations and present Petrotekno’s guest of honour, Dr. Dodi Reza, Regent for Musi Banyuasin, with its ‘Approved Facility’ plaque.

Using existing infrastructure, this facility has been repurposed and developed to help meet the training requirements for workers at the KBD-2X Well Project. The Project – headed up by Repsol and partnered with Petronas and Mitsui – is the largest gas find in Indonesia for two decades.

Alfonsus Aditya, the ECITB’s Account Manager based in Indonesia, said: “Petrotekno is one of Indonesia’s leading Operations, Maintenance and Construction Skills Training Providers, and licensed to deliver ECITB courses since 2018.

“It is excellent to see the company’s continued growth and the new facility will be used initially to deliver ECITB approved Rigging, Scaffolding and Non-critical Welding training for the rest of the year, expanding to offer more technical training and testing in 2022, including the International Health and Safety Passport (IHSP) programme.”

Currently, there are two, one month long courses taking place this year with 40-50 students attending each. In 2022, the facility will start on a long term programme hosting a succession of 3-4 month long residential courses, each with 120-150 students attending.
